I currently cover national law enforcement for The Associated Press. I also sometimes write for The New Yorker’s Talk of the Town section. Before joining the AP, I worked at Gothamist and WNYC, and freelanced for a bunch of other outlets, including New York Magazine, The Village Voice and The Nation. When not working, I enjoy playing basketball, surfing at Rockaway Beach and talking to strangers.

I’ll be spending the upcoming academic year as a Nieman Fellow, studying the shifting nature of mass movements and government repression.
