He currently works as a general assignment reporter for The Associated Press, covering all aspects of city life as well as major national stories. He also contributes to The New Yorker’s Talk of the Town section. He previously worked for Gothamist and WNYC. His freelance work can be found in New York Magazine, The Village Voice, The Awl, The Nation, VICE and elsewhere. When not working, he enjoys playing basketball, surfing on Rockaway Beach and talking to strangers.
